My research interests involve personality in the workplace, relationships between personality and employee engagement, and the "case in point" method for teaching leadership and change.
- In collaboration with Dr. Anne Christo-Baker (Purdue University), I have recently completed an article on the the personalities of HR professionals. The article is currently under review.
- Dr. Christo-Baker (Purdue University), Dr. Amy Vaughan (Drake University), and I are currently writing an article on the emotional engagement of HR professionals. The article - tentatively
called "A Path to Passion" - reports on a path analysis linking the five personality traits, three psychological conditions of engagement (meaningfulness, safety, and availability) and emotional
engagement.
- In collaboration with Dr. Elaine Smith-Bright (Drake University) I am analyzing the experiences of undergraduate students at Wright State University in a "case in point" class on
leadership.
